What is it like to study Communication Science? You can meet with current students in person or through Skype to talk about their personal experiences in studying Communication Science and their student life in Amsterdam.
Hey there! My name is Neil Fasching, and I am currently enrolled in the Communication Science Research Master’s programme. I grew up in Los Angeles, California and completed my Bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Barbara. After several years of soaking up the California sun, I decided I wanted a change of pace by moving to Amsterdam – and I haven’t looked back. UvA has allowed me to focus on my academic interests, such as political communication and political psychology, while also allowing me to meet new people and make new friends.
Any big change in life can bring all kinds of excitement, but it can also be confusing and overwhelming at time. Therefore, I am here to help you out with any questions or concerns you have regarding the Communication Science Master’s. From questions about academics and classes to question about life off campus, I am here to chat with you. So feel free to contact me at any time.
Hey everyone, I'm Timothy, and I am currently doing my Research Master's in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. I am from Germany, but I already did my Bachelor's at the UvA in the PPLE Program (Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics). Therefore, I have lived here for multiple years already. After my first three years in this beautiful city, I decided that I don't want to leave and stay for my Master's.
It took me a lot of time and many conversations to figure out what I want to study. I was undecided until the very end, but I am happy where I ended up. Having gone through this painful decision-making process myself already, maybe I can make yours easier. If you have any questions about the Communication Science Masters, or about studying in Amsterdam in general, please feel free to contact me!
